It's got a good beat and you can dance...err... workout to it!

Now that I'm into my daily workouts at the gym, my standard iTunes play list is getting a little old and repetitive. Any suggestions on some good music that keeps a good, consistent tempo?

Nine Inch Nails has been a staple in my workout... any other ideas?

I'd be that Mavis Staples would make for a good workout.

Also Iron Maiden.

When I used to work out, I found myself listening to a lot of early Springsteen.

I agree--metal is a good soundtrack for exercising. The Fucking Champs are an ironic hipster band that make instrumental metal derived from bands like Iron Maiden, if you want something sans lyrics.

Short punk(ish) albums work well. I tend to like The Stitches, Bikini Kill, Le Tigre, Misfits, etc.

And you can't beat listening to James Brown or a good soul compilation.
