I love a few of the things PJ Harvey has done, like most of it, and am bored by a little of it.
But this piece in Exclaim in Toronto I thought was aces.

P.J. is cool, but I know what you mean about the boredom. "Rid of Me" was a wicked good record, but at times I think I'm digging on how brilliantly Albini-ized it is more than the tunes themselves. Same can be said for "Pod" by the Breeders, and... dare i say it, "Surfer Rosa."
No dis. 3 of my favorite records of ALL TIME. it's a testament to Albini's innovation.
Anyhow, I saw Polly Jean open for Dinosaur Jr. in Chicago many many years back and she did not disappoint. She truly and sincerely rocked and DJ was a mind blower.
